Role Overview

The Associate Accounting Manager - General Ledger will lead the Record-to-Report (R2R) operations for the APAC region, ensuring timely and accurate month-end close, compliance with accounting standards, and internal control adherence. The role requires strong technical accounting expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with auditors and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end Record to Report (R2R) activities for the APAC region

- Ensure timely monthly closing of books as per agreed timelines

- Review financial statements in compliance with Indian GAAP (IGAAP)

- Prepare and review P&L flux analysis and variance explanations

- Review and monitor Balance Sheet schedules as per management format

- Ensure compliance with tax regulations including GST, TDS, and Income Tax requirements

- Review computations for advance tax and self-assessment tax under Income-tax Act, 1961

- Implement and enforce internal financial controls to maintain data integrity

- Coordinate with statutory, internal, tax and transfer pricing auditors during audits

- Ensure timely filing of tax returns including GST, income tax, and other applicable taxes

- Drive accounting process improvements and compliance initiatives

- Work on ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for finance reporting requirements

Required Skillsets

- Chartered Accountant / Cost Accountant preferred

- 6-8+ years experience in R2R / General Ledger accounting

- Strong understanding of IGAAP and accounting principles

- Hands-on knowledge of GST, TDS, and Income Tax regulations

- Experience in Balance Sheet & P&L review and variance analysis

- Strong understanding of internal controls and audit processes

- Experience working with auditors and cross-functional teams

- ERP experience required; NetSuite preferred

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
