We are seeking a visionary Chief Business Officer (CBO) to lead our Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC).
Position: Chief Business Officer (CBO) - Retail
Company: Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC)
Location: Delhi
Industry: Financial Services / Non-Banking Financial Company
We are an established, high-growth financial services group operating a suite of boutique companies. Our ecosystem spans across a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC), Asset Management (AMC), Corporate Advisory, and Investment Banking (IB). We provide tailored, end-to-end financial solutions to corporate, institutional, and high-net-worth clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maximize Strategic Growth & Retail Asset Scaling:
- Loan Book Scaling: Formulate and execute aggressive, long-term retail asset sourcing strategies to rapidly expand the retail loan portfolio.
- Group Synergies: Collaborate with ecosystem heads in Asset Management, Corporate Advisory, and Investment Banking to drive cross-functional business synergies and client referrals.
- Market Expansion: Proactively identify and capture new micro-market opportunities, emerging retail asset segments, and high-yield product niches.
2. Financial Performance & P&L Ownership:
- P&L Delivery: Own the complete metrics of the retail business unit - driving sustainable top-line revenue growth and bottom-line profit margins.
- Capital Allocation: Optimize capital deployment across various retail product lines (e.g., LAP, Business Loans, Secured MSME) to maximize Risk-Adjusted Return on Capital (RAROC).
- Cost Optimization: Implement digital-first processes and streamlined origination frameworks to reduce the cost of acquisition (CAC) and improve operating structures.
3. Funding & Liability Support:
- Diverse Sourcing: Work closely with the CEO to pitch the asset-side growth story to public/private banks, development financial institutions, and co-lending partners to secure diverse, low-cost funding lines.
- Asset-Liability Balance: Co-manage asset side maturities to support institutional liquidity frameworks, ensuring book growth matches overall balance sheet capacity.
4. Credit Risk, Governance & RBI Compliance:
- Underwriting Alignment: Champion a culture of rigorous credit underwriting, ensuring market-facing teams adhere strictly to risk boundaries to protect the portfolio from early delinquencies.
- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all retail sourcing, customer onboarding, and digital lending practices remain 100% compliant with RBI guidelines, consumer protection codes, and audit standards.
- Reputation Protection: Maintain impeccable governance standards in field operations, channel payouts, and collections to preserve the group's premium market reputation.
5. Talent Leadership & Performance Culture:
- High-Performing Org: Recruit, mentor, and retain top-tier sales, relationship, and channel management talent within the competitive Delhi financial ecosystem.
- Accountability & KPIs: Foster a transparent culture of absolute accountability by aligning individual and team KPIs directly with the group's asset growth and portfolio health metrics.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
1. Professional Background & Experience:
- Total Experience: 15+ years of total experience in financial services, with a strong focus on retail banking or NBFC asset-side operations.
- Leadership Track Record: Minimum 5 - 7+ years in a prominent zonal, regional, or national leadership capacity driving retail asset distribution.
- Sourcing Expertise: Entrenched expertise in secured asset scaling (LAP, Secured MSME, Mortgage) with active, deep-rooted networks across major Delhi NCR DSA hubs, connectors, and corporate channels.
2. Core Competencies:
- Credit & Risk Acumen: Sharp understanding of credit risk models, cash-flow analysis, and debt-service capability parameters.
- Regulatory Dexterity: Strong navigate-to-win mindset regarding RBI compliance, digital lending mandates, and corporate governance frameworks.
- Commercial Fluency: Masterful ability to conceptualize complex multi-channel originations, co-lending partnerships, and structured product distribution programs.
3. Education & Credentials:
- Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA in Finance, or equivalent post-graduate credentials.
- Institutional Pedigree: Academic background from a Tier-1 educational institution is highly preferred.
