About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager to drive sales and market share growth within an assigned territory.
This pivotal role involves strategic sales planning and execution, data analysis, and the direct guidance and supervision of our sales team.
You will be instrumental in enhancing brand presence, ensuring product availability, and managing promotional activities to achieve ambitious sales targets.
Purpose of the Role
The primary purpose of this role is to deliver ambitious sales and market share targets through effective sales planning and execution, robust data analysis, and the development and supervision of a high-performing sales team.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Brand Awareness & Visibility: Enhance brand awareness and visibility through strategic market inputs and initiatives.
- Market Presence & Order Management: Monitor brand availability at retail outlets, efficiently take orders, and coordinate seamlessly with distributor sales personnel to ensure timely and smooth order fulfillment.
- Customer Feedback & Resolution: Actively obtain and address feedback, inquiries, and complaints from retail outlets regarding sales and marketing to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Promotional Activities: Plan, execute, and conduct pre- and post-evaluations of promotional activities to maximize their effectiveness.
- Performance Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports highlighting sales performance and the effectiveness of channel activities within the assigned sales territory.
- Team Development: Motivate, train, and develop Territory Sales Executives (TSEs), Sales Consultants, and Merchandisers to optimize their individual and collective contribution levels.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate closely with distributors, wholesalers, and corporations to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of stock to the market.
- Target Achievement: Consistently achieve monthly and yearly sales targets.
Qualifications
Experience: 8-10 years of experience in a high-volume FMCG, beverages, or durable goods company.
Education: Any Graduate, with a preference for an MBA in Sales & Marketing
