Job Title: Head - Marketing Manager

Location: Mumbai

Department: GI Prospera

Reports To: Business Director / BU Head

Role Overview:

The Head - Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving topline and bottom-line growth across all categories and brands under the GI Prospera portfolio. The role involves strategic planning, execution, and performance management to achieve business objectives, market share expansion, and sustainable profitability. The incumbent will lead cross-functional initiatives in sales, marketing, and product development to deliver best-in-class customer solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Business & Financial Management:

- Achieve and exceed annual topline and market share targets across assigned categories and brands.

- Own the P&L ensuring delivery of both top-line revenue and bottom-line profitability.

- Develop and control the operating budget, optimizing costs while driving growth.

- Lead business planning and budgeting processes aligned with organizational goals.

Sales & Marketing Leadership:

- Formulate and implement short- and long-term sales and marketing strategies to achieve business growth.

- Direct marketing and sales initiatives to ensure achievement of volume and project objectives.

- Oversee development and execution of pricing models and sales processes.

- Identify and develop new markets, customers, and geographies to drive volume and profitability.

Product & Brand Management:

- Collaborate with Product Development teams to design and execute product modifications or innovations.

- Manage complete brand life cycles, ensuring solutions are aligned with evolving customer needs.

- Drive marketing programs, campaigns, and go-to-market strategies for portfolio expansion.

Commercial & Strategic Initiatives:

- Lead commercial discussions with Business Development teams to explore and close new business opportunities.

- Forge partnerships to develop efficient product supply and delivery models.

- Monitor competitive landscape and market trends to inform business strategies.

People Leadership & Compliance:

- Lead, motivate, and mentor marketing and sales teams to achieve performance excellence.

- Conduct performance appraisals, identify development needs, and ensure capability building through training.

- Ensure adherence to Abbotts compliance standards and local regulatory requirements.

- Maintain personal and team compliance with all corporate policies and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience:

- MBA in Marketing or equivalent degree from a reputed institution.

- 10-15 years of progressive experience in Sales & Marketing, preferably in Healthcare, FMCG, or Pharma sectors.

- Proven experience in P&L management, strategic marketing, and product life cycle management.

- Strong analytical, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
