Purpose of the Job:

Plan, initiate, ensure, and monitor Human Resource, ER, and Administrative Functions to facilitate achieving organizational goals by enhancing human productivity, employee competencies, and partnering with business within the VPO framework and by following the Ten Principles of ABI. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills to ensure compliance and foster a positive work environment.

Planning & Implementation of HR Processes:

- Study manpower requirements including present and future vacancies. Timely hiring of competent manpower required for the brewery.

- Plan for developing people for key positions by identifying people, their competencies and gap.

- Design and manage key support systems - succession plans, mentoring & coaching framework etc.

- Ensure that OPR Process is timely and effectively executed to meet Organizational objectives.

- Ensure development of employees on Competencies, knowledge, skill and behavior by devising appropriate training modules to result in improvement in the performance of the organization.

- Initiate and ensure implementation of various employees' welfare & engagement measures to enhance motivation and morale of employees.

- Ensure smooth and timely implementation of BU HR & Zone Best Practices.

- Ensure preparation of reports/MIS, routine roundup of the departmental performance & seeking functional inputs as & when required.

Industrial Relations / Employee Relations:

- Development and ensuring healthy Union-Management relationships and a supportive atmosphere at the factories.

- Timely negotiations with Unions for settlements and corresponding follow-up with government authorities.

- Prepare and execute progressive strategies to ensure on-time, mutually beneficial collective bargaining settlements with alignment to regional cum industry practices.

- Ensure & Monitor Regular compliance, monitoring and communication for legal matters.

- Interactions with the departmental heads regarding the manpower related issues that include discipline, absenteeism, OT etc.

- Ensure proactive public relations at regional level to isolate manufacturing sites from IR disruptions.

- Ensure that restructuring plans are executed without disruption.

Statutory Compliance & External Stakeholder Management:

- Regular and timely interactions and meetings with Govt Officials.

- Effective communication with Government officials during crisis and handling the disturbed IR situations.

- Submission of Reports / Returns on time to ensure 100% compliance.

- Liaison with the various statutory bodies like ALC office, Factory Inspectors Office that affect the day-to-day functioning of the unit.

- Initiate community development in the surrounding area to build better relationships with the community around and enhance the image of the company along with Corporate Affairs department.

VPO:

- Ensure Implementation of VPO Practices as per People Pillar Handbook.

- Prepare and Implementation of Training calendar and monitor the Training Compliance at the Brewery.

- Action planning and driving major change initiatives as per Sister Brewery Best Practices.

- Provide a framework for improvement of organisation culture - develop conceptual framework, get buy in and implement OD strategies.

- Implementation & Driving initiatives like nSKAP, L&D, Talent Management, Autonomous Teams etc., to improve employee productivity and Multiskilling.

Expertise and Qualifications:

- Ability to lead and inspire teams.

- Must have the ability to go in details of every aspect, good at conceptual skills and thorough at people management techniques.

- Should possess in-depth knowledge of labor laws and disciplinary proceedings along with its application and implementation in manufacturing facility.

- Good in influencing skills and possess the maturity to handle a unionized workforce and establish a relationship of trust and transparency.

- Ability to positively influence individual behaviors and positive discipline to establish a culture of mutual respect.

- Experience in handling disciplinary proceedings, labor matters and unionized workforce.
