Job Description:

Location: Mumbai or Bangalore, India (Hybrid)

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Experience Required: 10-15 years in fundraising with strong exposure to individual donors, HNIs, corporate fundraising, and CSR partnerships

As we scale our impact, we are looking for a dynamic and driven fundraising leader to anchor and grow our revenue streams from individuals, corporates, and philanthropic institutions.

Role Overview:

The Head of Fundraising will be responsible for crafting and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy across key donor segmentsHigh Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs), Individual Donors (mid- and mass-level), Corporates (CSR), and Institutional Funders. This role requires a strategic thinker, skilled relationship builder, and an exceptional storyteller who can drive revenue growth while championing our cause.

Key Responsibilities:

Fund Raising Strategy & Leadership:

- Develop and lead the overall fundraising strategy aligned with organizational goals.

- Build a multi-channel fundraising pipeline, ensuring diversification and sustainability of income.

- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing fundraising team.

Individual Donors & HNI's:

- Cultivate and steward relationships with HNIs, family foundations, and affluent individual donors.

- Build donor journeys and personalized engagement plans to drive donor retention and upgrades.

- Represent the organization at high-profile forums and networking events.

Corporate Fundraising & CSR:

- Build and manage strategic CSR partnerships with leading corporates.

- Develop customized CSR proposals aligned with company ESG/CSR objectives.

- Track emerging CSR trends and government guidelines to stay ahead in corporate engagement.

Partnerships & Relationship Management:

- Lead end-to-end engagement with current and prospective donors, from pitch to reporting.

- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring transparency and timely communication.

- Represent the organization in donor reviews, pitch meetings, and public speaking forums.

Collaboration & Internal Coordination:

- Work closely with Programs, Communications, and Finance teams to align funding needs, budgets, and impact stories.

- Co-develop donor reports, impact narratives, and proposals with the content team.

Candidate Profile:

Must-Have Qualifications & Skills:

- 15-25 years of progressive experience in fundraising, business development, or partnerships, ideally within the development or social impact sector.

- Proven success in securing large donations from HNIs, CSR partnerships, and corporates.

- Deep understanding of Indias CSR landscape, philanthropic ecosystem, and regulatory frameworks.

- Strong network across corporates, donors, and HNI circles.

- Excellent communication, storytelling, and proposal writing skills.

Preferred Attributes:

- Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action and results.

- Strong team leadership and people management experience.

- Experience working in or with nonprofits focused on women, children, education, or human rights.

- Comfort with donor CRMs, fundraising platforms, and digital outreach tools.

Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience, with performance-linked incentives.
