A) Key Responsibilities:
a) Contracts & Commercial (- 90%):
- Drafting, reviewing, vetting, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts, agreements, NDAs, LOIs, MOUs, and other legal documentation.
- Ensuring business- friendly yet legally sound contracts aligned with company policies and risk frameworks.
- Providing inputs on contract risk assessments and mitigating measures.
- Facilitating contract lifecycle through digital tools, repository creation, and data migration for efficient management and reporting.
- Assisting in rolling out contract management solutions and continuous improvements in processes.
b) Litigation & Dispute Management (- 5%):
- Coordinating with external counsel/advocates for handling litigations and regulatory matters.
- Supporting in drafting/reviewing pleadings, show cause notices, and responses.
- Monitoring litigation updates, trends, and advising business stakeholders on implications.
c) Compliance, Research & Others (- 5%):
- Conducting legal research, preparing memoranda, and providing opinions based on judgments and regulatory analysis.
- Mapping regulatory footprint applicable to the Company and enabling compliance checklists/tools.
- Supporting compliance audits across company locations and preparing draft reports.
- Preparing periodic legal updates/newsletters for business teams.
- Assisting in implementation of digital tools for litigation, IPR, real estate, and compliance monitoring.
- Driving legal risk management framework and ensuring collaboration with internal stakeholders.
B) Key Attributes & Skills:
- Strong expertise in contract drafting, vetting, and negotiation.
- Knowledge of corporate and commercial laws, compliance requirements, and risk frameworks.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with swift turnaround time (TAT).
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Exposure to digital legal tools and willingness to work on legal tech initiatives.
- Proactive, detail- oriented, and accountable for end- to- end ownership of tasks.
