Analyst/Senior Analyst - Data Analytics - Financial Research Team

Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Analyst/Senior Analyst to join our Financial Research team in Hyderabad. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, validating, and analyzing financial data, with a focus on reference data and corporate actions. You will collaborate closely with research analysts, data engineers, and product managers to ensure the accuracy and completeness of our financial datasets. Your work will directly impact the quality of our research products, enabling our clients to make informed investment decisions and manage risk effectively.

Key Responsibilities :

- Extract and cleanse financial data from various sources, including regulatory filings, market data feeds, and company websites, to ensure data integrity and accuracy for research purposes.

- Analyze corporate actions, such as mergers, acquisitions, dividends, and stock splits, to update and maintain accurate reference data for capital markets analysis.

- Develop and maintain SQL queries and Python scripts to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, improving efficiency and scalability.

- Conduct thorough data quality checks and resolve discrepancies to ensure the reliability of financial information used in research reports and analytical tools.

- Support the research team by providing timely and accurate data insights related to IPOs, equity research, and other capital market activities, contributing to informed investment recommendations.

- Collaborate with data engineers and product managers to enhance data infrastructure and develop new data products, improving the overall quality and accessibility of financial data.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, including reference data and corporate actions, with a strong understanding of capital markets.

- Proven ability to write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from relational databases.

- Proficiency in Python programming for data manipulation, analysis, and automation.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve data quality issues.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.

- Adaptable to working in a fast-paced, on-site environment in Hyderabad.
