Overview

As the Chief of Staff to the Founder, you will play a critical role in supporting the Founder in the day-to-day management of the firm and the execution of strategic initiatives. This role requires a combination of operational excellence, strategic thinking, and strong interpersonal skills. You will act as a trusted advisor, ensuring that the Founder's vision is effectively communicated and implemented across the organization.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Execution:


- Collaborate with the Founder to develop and implement the firm's strategic initiatives. - Assist in the planning and execution of key projects, ensuring alignment with the company's goals.

- Track progress on strategic initiatives and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).

Operational Management:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the firm, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.

- Manage the Founder's schedule, prioritizing and coordinating meetings, events, and travel.

- Facilitate communication and coordination between the Founder and other team members, investors, and external partners.

Project Management:

- Lead special projects as directed by the Founder, from conception through to execution.

- Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

- Anticipate potential issues and develop solutions to keep projects on track.

Decision Support:

- Provide the Founder with analysis and recommendations to inform decision-making.

- Conduct research and gather data to support strategic decisions.

- Prepare briefing materials and background information for meetings and negotiations.

Internal and External Communication:

- Draft communications, presentations, and reports on behalf of the Founder.

- Serve as a point of contact for key stakeholders, including investors, portfolio companies, and partners.

- Ensure consistent and effective communication across the organization.

- Represent the fund in conferences and other public events

Investor Relations:

- Support the Founder in managing relationships with existing and prospective investors.

- Prepare investor updates, reports, and presentations.

- Coordinate investor meetings, calls, and events.

Team Leadership and Development:

- Act as a liaison between the Founder and the broader team, ensuring that the Founder's vision and directives are clearly communicated.

- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.

- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a strategic, operational, or leadership role, ideally within a venture capital, private equity, or start-up environment.

- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.

- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

- High level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.

- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

- Willingness to travel as needed.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Willingness to work during weekends and evenings as per operational requirements
