Please find Job Description : Carrier Negotiations: - Develop and maintain strong relationships with ocean carriers. - Negotiate buying rates and space agreements. - Monitor carrier performance and reliability. Quotation Management: - Prepare and approve customer quotations. - Ensure quotes are competitive and aligned with market conditions. - Coordinate with sales teams for customized pricing solutions. Market Analysis & Strategy: - Monitor global and regional ocean freight market trends. - Benchmark competitor pricing and services. - Adjust pricing models based on market dynamics, seasonality, and cost fluctuations. Profitability Management: - Evaluate margins and profitability of quotes and trade lanes. - Optimize pricing structures to maximize returns. - Monitor revenue and cost KPIs related to ocean freight. System & Data Management: - Maintain pricing databases and rate management systems (e.g., logi-sys) - Ensure pricing accuracy and data integrity. - Use analytics tools for forecasting and performance tracking. Cross-Department Collaboration: - Work closely with sales, operations, procurement, and finance teams. - Support tender management and large customer bids. - Provide pricing training or guidance to relevant internal teams. Compliance & Documentation: - Ensure pricing complies with international shipping regulations. - Stay updated on tariffs, surcharges, and customs regulations.
