What You Will Be Doing: - Deliver multi-day virtual and on-site Elastic training courses and workshops to enable our customers and drive business value - Teach extremely technical concepts clearly and concisely to large audiences in an engaging manner - Collaborate with the Curriculum team on the development of new courses and course release updates - Collaborate with the Training Operations team for continuous improvement of our LMS (Learning Management System), virtual training platform and processes - Mentor and coach new instructors - Ability to work on your own initiative with fanatical attention to detail - Strong customer advocacy, relationship building, and verbal and written communication skills - Comfortable working remotely in a highly distributed team, serving primarily EMEA and APAC regions - Flexible attitude and willingness to accommodate and support changing priorities in a growing company - Willing and able to travel globally up to 60% What You Bring: - Experience as Technical Instructor, Consultant, Presales, or public speaker to technical audiences (engineers, developers, and other technical positions) on enterprise infrastructure software technology - Excellent presentation and customer interaction skills, with the ability to explain complex topics in an easy-to-understand way - Clear articulation and fluency in English, with proficiency in other Asian languages as a nice-to-have - Bachelor's degree (or higher) in information technology or computer science or equivalent experience - 4+ years of cybersecurity experience - 2+ years of Education experience is a strong plus - Deep understanding of Elasticsearch, including Elastic certifications is a strong plus - Background in security is a must, in observability, and search a plus - Cybersecurity certifications are a plus - Experience in curriculum development, contributing to open-source projects, or participating in community engagements (meetups, conferences, etc.) is a plus - Standout colleague with strong interpersonal skills - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment

Elastic - Technical Instructor - Security Focus

What is the role: As the Sr. Manager SOX PMO working in the Accounting Organization and reporting to the Snr. Director, Accounting, you will be responsible for leading compliance with requirements under SOX and COSO standards. This includes SEC and statutory reporting, G/L and consolidations, revenue accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, tax, treasury, equity and credit & collections. This position requires a detailed knowledge of SOX and COSO, excellent communications, critical thinking, strong leadership skills, and project management. What you will be doing: 1. Own Accounting's compliance with requirements under SOX and COSO standards. 2. Build and maintain close working relationships with all internal Elastic management teams as well as external/internal audit, and ensure a deep understanding of key risks and processes of the organization. 3. Review and ensure SOX controls are sufficient for a $1B to $5B business, incorporating automated controls wherever possible. 4. Perform assessments of the SOX impact of new initiatives, including changes in processes and procedures, system implementations/updates, new accounting standards and various special projects, ensuring the SOX controls are appropriately designed for a scaling business. 5. Communicate required changes to all process owners as needed, and assist with ongoing training activities including providing training to the internal finance and accounting organization in areas of controls, policies and procedures and SOX compliance. 6. Coordinate with each process and control owners and external auditors and advisory partners on various matters including planning activities, walkthrough participation, evidence requests, information sharing, and status updates. 7. Work with process owners to provide sufficient support to evidence control performance, and coordinate with our internal and external auditors and advisors on provided by client (PBC) document requests. 8. Assist with the collection and review of third-party SSAE 18 (SOC) reports 9. Lead and perform research documenting SOX issues and track remediation to conclusion 10. Review findings from audits and facilitate the remediation plans 11. Track and report overall SOX assessment status for reporting to senior management What you bring: 1. Recent Big 4 (assurance or advisory) or a national public accounting firm experience as a senior manager role 2. Professional certification such as CPA, CIA or similar is preferred 3. Proven experience with implementation of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, the 2013 COSO framework and SEC guidance for management's assessment of internal controls over financial reporting 4. Experience with internal controls including process control design, preparation of flowcharts & control matrices, documentation and testing of controls, and identification and reporting of control "gaps" required 5. Commitment to continuous improvement and a dynamic approach to driving control automation 6. Highly effective communication and collaboration skills (verbal and written), excellent analytical skills and attention to detail 7. Ability to manage several priorities and work independently while optimally delivering results 8. Experience working with a $1B+ revenue company 9. Able to thrive in a fast-paced setting
