About The Job We are seeking an exceptional Manager of Product Owners to lead our team of Product Owners across multiple products with a laser-focused attention on driving value to our clients. In this pivotal role, you will ensure consistent delivery of complete, effective, and high-quality features that our clients and users love while fostering a growth mindset and performance culture within the Product Owner organization. What You'll Be Doing: Leadership Excellence - Build and nurture a high-performing Product Owner organization with a growth mindset and a culture of continuous improvement - Provide strategic coaching and mentorship to support the professional development of Product Owners - Guide colleagues and leadership through influential decision-making, ensuring organizational alignment with strategic priorities - Establish clear performance expectations and conduct regular reviews to drive accountability and excellence. Operational Management - Strategically balance Product Owner workload across teams and products, advocating for additional resources when justified by business needs - Align Product Owners with scrum teams based on skills, career aspirations, and capacity requirements - Collaborate with Lead Product Owners to implement agile best practices, drive our Way of Working, and provide comprehensive support to the Product Owner team - Champion the delivery of world-class solutions to real-world problems, influencing technical decisions with a focus on maximizing client value - Implement and monitor KPIs and metrics to measure performance, diagnose operational challenges, and drive continuous improvement Strategic Partnerships - Forge strong alliances with Technology leadership to ensure cohesive partnership within the R&D organization - Work closely with Product Management to understand and influence product vision, strategy, and roadmaps - Partner with Product Designers to ensure they receive optimal support from Product Owners in creating exceptional user experiences - Engage effectively with leadership at all levels, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences What You Need: - BA/BS in a technical subject area like information science, computer science or equivalent work experience supporting products from a technical perspective. - 4-5 years of experience as Product Owner. - 1-2 years of experience as a people manager. - Proven experience in a senior Product Owner or Product Management leadership role - Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams - Strong understanding of agile methodologies and best practices - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - Track record of delivering complex products that meet customer needs - Ability to balance strategic vision with tactical execution - Experience working with cross-functional teams in a technology environment The Brightly culture We're guided by a vision of community that serves the ambitions and wellbeing of all people, and our professional communities are no exception. About The Job Confirm and Assetic are Brightly products that provide an integrated asset management solution that empowers government agencies to optimize asset performance, reduce operational risk and cost, and deliver safer, more sustainable services, and transform infrastructure asset management through comprehensive valuation, accounting and reporting capabilities, empowering organizations to achieve regulatory compliance and accounting excellence while enabling informed budgeting decisions The Product Owner is a crucial member of an agile team in ensuring that Product Management's product vision and business strategy is executed, thus driving growth. The Product Owner will consume roadmap and product backlog items, turning them into high-value solutions, and executing them with the development teams using agile methodologies. What You'll Be Doing: - Develop solutions to real-world market problems identified by Product Management's roadmap. - Execute agile methodologies to fully develop solutions via story breakdown and agile ceremonies as a key member of an agile team. - Responsible for communicating priorities and goals at the beginning of each sprint in accordance with release goals, roadmap, and associated timelines/dependencies. - Participate in feature discovery with customers and the market and leverage this information to drive valuable solutions. - Maintain a healthy, prioritized backlog of work for the development team to work from. - Serve as the champion of the customer experience and partner with UX/design, product counterparts, and professional Services to deliver delightful user experiences across all customer touchpoints. - Understanding Product Management's business strategy, and evangelizing/executing it with agile development teams. - Diligently monitor KPI metrics and drive continuous improvements within the agile team. What You Need: - BA/BS in a technical subject area like information science, computer science or equivalent work experience supporting products from a technical perspective. - 1-3 Years of experience as Product Owner. - Proficiency in backlog/roadmap management tools such as Jira or AHA! - Experienced at developing user stories and acceptance criteria and communicating business value to the engineering team. - Strong evidence of working with engineering on communicating commitments and delivering results - Experience in Agile processes and principles - Superb communication skills for both oral and written communication; ability to communicate confidently across all levels in the organization. - Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze data to support decision making. - Experience working with and influencing product development teams and driving them toward a common customer and business vision all the way through to delivery. - A results-oriented, proactive, and self-sufficient work ethic.
