Senior Executive

- Direct Tax Advisory: Advising and compliance services, on domestic and internationally (this includes documents review and advising on applicable tax withholding), including the Corporate Tax and Transfer Pricing, International Tax. - Independently handle tax engagements. Prepare submissions, attend to assessment and appeal hearings before the CIT(A) and Tribunals. - Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with the tax authorities, relevant members of the business and functional teams, other members of the local tax and international tax teams and external service providers. - Lead and coordinate the tax management of assignments, with guidance from the Partner and manage risk and independence issues on client engagements. - Be actively involved in business development activities to identify and research on opportunities on new/ existing clients. Assist tax partners and senior management on proposals and business development calls. - Support the tax risk management and assurance process in the Group Tax function - Handle multiple projects including transfer pricing documentation, planning, restructuring, inter-company transaction consulting and pricing - Develop transfer pricing solutions and policies - Research and conclude on technical transfer pricing issues - Provide advice regarding transfer pricing controversy issues - Consult with clients on economically significant aspects of their business operations - Maintain a good working relationship with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and work with client management and staff at all levels to perform tax services. - Keep up to date with local and national business & economic issues. - Continue to develop internal relationships and the firm's brand. - Take responsibility for proper tax filing and tax document retention in relation to the direct tax compliance matters.

- Assist during the VAT/Service Tax or GST Audits/Reviews or Assessments (including review of documents, liaise the clients and tax authorities, submission with relevant authorities, assistance during the verification of documents, preparation and submission of replies with tax authorities, etc) Ensuring the desired closure of the audits/assessments in timely manner through regular follow-ups and representations. - Satisfactory completion of audits prescribed under the relevant indirect tax laws (eg. VAT audit, Service Tax audit, GST audit/review, etc). Review and replying of tax notices, assessment order, preparation and submission of appeals, coordinate and ensure preparation and timely submission of workings/details for tax assessments and appeals. - Anticipate and identify engagement related risks and escalate issues as appropriate. Suggest ideas on improving engagement productivity and identity opportunities for improving client service. - Responsible for compilation of information for tax returns planning, preparation and coordination. Preparation and review the tax liability includes mainly VAT/GST/CST, Service tax etc. - Work technical assignments, undertaking research, creating reports/opinions etc. Independently execute basic compliance assignments and undertake basic interaction with clients/ regulatory authorities. - Update and streamline process, prepare and implement SOPs for improved working and effective compliances with the Indirect Tax laws/GST - Complete GST Audits/Reviews of assigned clients. This will include planning, resource deployment, interaction with clients, escalation & resolution of audit issues & queries, travel to client locations within & outside Mumbai, preparing the working papers, Audit Reports & Annexures & maintaining the Audit files & Database. - Updated awareness of utilities in GSTN portal and disclosure requirements in GST returns, etc.

Manager - Statutory Audit Job Description: - Assisting in developing audit planning documentation addressing scope, audit objective, budgeted hours, resource plan and reporting date - Successfully complete assigned audits, addressing all audit objectives, conducting client and status meetings as required, controlling, monitoring and reporting on audit progress, reviewing work papers, ensuring work papers provide adequate support of conclusions, while complying with internal standard for documentation. - Assisting the Partner/Director in Business Development initiative in the form of research and pitch preparation, identify cross selling opportunity on client serviced by you. - Lead and manage field work on client sites including liaison with client personnel, serving client needs and managing the audit team. - Manage own time effectively and ensure the project is completed to timescale and budget. Provide high quality work promptly, contributing to the successful completion of client work Adhere to defined procedures. - Analyze problems, identify core issues, investigate, evaluate and integrate information regarding the Audit - Acting as a first choice point of contact throughout the year for your clients and managing project costs, and raising invoices. - To assist the partner in implementing and executing projects in assurance, tax and advisory services as per the professional and firm's quality standards. - To monitor the assignment for improving efficiency of the assignment, manage audit in relation to time and resource budget - Will actively checks that all findings and issues are documented and performs closedown procedures - Gathering and compiling information and data - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including good presentation and report writing skills - Develops and maintain strong relationships across all levels of the organization - Provides recommendations for strengthening controls - Ability to deal well with ambiguity and constant change as well as working independently - A solid understanding of IGAAP, INDAS and Companies Act - You should have and demonstrate capability to think conceptually, visualize different scenarios and decide based on analysis and logical reasoning.
