Key Accountabilities:
- Accountable for end to end solution and functional definition, design and delivery against an agreed set of requirements
- Accountable for triage of requests identifying the appropriate requests to be completed alongside with the priority
- Provides support to customers during the idea formulation process offering subject matter expertise to the requestor and challenges ideas where appropriate
- Produce the high level architecture vision documents, as well as the more detailed functional specifications for the projects.
- Work with the enterprise architect in determining strategic priorities and review of the pipeline
- Act as the reviewer and quality gate for functional and solution analysis output for one or more components of a programme or project
- For technology-led items, act as the product owner and own the product backlog and ensure it is kept up to date with inputs from SMEs and build partners.
- Review the technical solution to ensure is fit for purpose and aligns with the overall end to end solution.
- Identification and documentation of data gaps to allow change impact and downstream impact analysis to be conducted.
- Oversee the business analysts and SMEs during the build and test cycle and own the resolution of defects pertaining to requirement and design
- Working across multiple projects managing small analysis teams
- Assist other project team members in respect of processes, functional requirements and data, when required
- Challenge IT to ensure technical designs are addressing the user and functional requirements
- Identify and manage changes within your sphere of control, which are liable to impact other systems or work streams and communicate the impacts effectively
Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
- Expert knowledge of applications and services in the HR infrastructure space, particularly the Performance, Learning and Talent domain.
- Expect knowledge in cloud based platforms, Success Factors in particular.
- Expert knowledge in designing solutions across hybrid infrastructures with on- and off-premise platforms.
- Proven track record of delivery for solution architecture with metrics/examples on efficiency, robustness, simplicity of design
- Good knowledge across Master & Reference Data Management, ETL, Data Quality Management, Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence, Data Integration & Interoperability, Data Security & Protection, Storage & Records Management, Data Modelling & Metadata Management
- Expert knowledge of best practices/principles/standards in solution architecture
- Proven ability to make architecture principles real in a complex organisation and move the dial in transforming a problematic current state architecture to an operationally efficient, lower cost, more performant, better integrated and well governed future state.
Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to inspire others and communicate the architectural vision clearly to both Exec level stakeholders and technologists working through the detail.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills and ability to produce technical documents that cover functional components and technologies to a detailed degree.
- Good understanding of how HR technology fits within the architecture landscape of the other Functions within Barclays
- Experience working with virtual teams across locations and delivering solutions in a federated landscape of ownership and responsibility
