Overview :

Compliance risk is commonly defined as the risk of legal or regulatory sanction, financial loss, or loss to reputation which a firm and/or its employees may suffer as a result of the failure to comply with applicable laws, regulations, codes of conduct and standards of good practice. We work with all levels of the firm to assist in the development and maintenance of a strong compliance culture that includes monitoring, surveillance, regulatory reporting, training, and to support the embedding of appropriate behavior within the firm's operating practices.

- Adheres to Global compliance policies and guidelines and customize the requirements to India shared services, working closely with the business units

- Stake holders understand and implement the compliance approach as defined under global and local regulatory requirements

- Taking ownership of relationships as required and maintain ongoing dialogue to embed a strong compliance culture through the organisation

- Helping establish a set of compliance rules as applicable to various business areas to help establish compliance standards

- Provide ongoing compliance training and awareness programs, aimed towards fostering a strong compliance culture

- Working closely with other control functions such as legal, risk, audit, HR etc

- Developing and preparing the Compliance conduct risk reports for senior management

- To establish compliance best practices, and act in proactive manner to assist stakeholders to assess their compliance requirements, and provide advice/ recommendations in a manner that enhances the compliance framework on an ongoing basis

- Providing guidance and leadership to Compliance team members

- Lead and guide the team managers and their team member on smooth and effective execution of BAU tasks

- Maintain and manage stakeholder relationship & expectations for the department and address service level issues

- Ensure appropriate and timely reporting to senior management

- Engage with stakeholders to identify and manage migration opportunities for the division

- Mentor staff for meeting departmental & BAU objectives and conduct performance appraisals

- Handle hiring and resourcing needs for the department

- Representing Compliance at board meetings, committee meetings as well as providing support/ views on regulatory implications as appropriate from an offshoring perspective.

- Reporting and escalating issues as appropriate to Head of Compliance / stakeholders as appropriate
