Team Lead - Social Media

Experience/Skills/Qualities:

- At least 5 years running social-media operations at a large media organization

- Building a community of subscribers with deep shared passions is central to our mission. The community manager will be the first point of contact for our subscribers and will play a critical role in shaping the audience's experience of it.

- The community manager will be a natural conversationist with excellent command over language and be excited about building new connections and networks.

- A keen understanding of global news and trends and the ability to understand how content in multimedia formats should be positioned for a diverse audience will be essential.

- The community manager will help continuously improve the product by delivering feedback and insights on user behaviour to both the editorial and the business team. Hence, comfort with measurement tools such as Google Analytics will be essential.

- The community manager will also serve as the custodian of the brand's reputation.

Responsibilities :

- Helping evolve the platforms social-media and communication policy.

- Creating, managing and growing our presence across social-media platforms.

- Identifying ways to reach out to new audience communities and expanding the brand's catchment area.

- Responding to comments and queries as per policy.

Using measurement tools to generate reports on metrics, and find ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS :

Post graduate preferably in Literature, Mass Media, Journalism

Desired Skills :

- Good command over the English language and digitally savvy

- Excellent Written and Oral communication skills.

- Multitasking and ability to handle work pressure

- Open to learn and experiment with content
