Manager - Indirect Tax


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


- Tax advisory to the units across India after requisite deliberations

- Ability to identify potential trouble areas in various Indirect taxes

- Creating a better tax environment vis-a-vis departmental authorities - including visiting tax authorities in different states.

- Assist the team in handling litigation at various appellate forums including High Court and Supreme Court

- Vetting of documents, appeal, collation of evidence, attending court hearings

- Co-ordinating with external counsels, briefing them on the issues, arranging evidence from different stake holders.

- Assist the team in analysis, tax implications of new project proposal Optimization of existing transactional tax costs

- Hands on experience on compliance aspects under various Indirect Tax Laws

2) Sr. Counsel/Counsel

KEY PERFORMANCE INDEX:

- Preventive Measures under Indirect Taxes

- Effectively handling Litigation Matters

- Support the business in key projects

- Improve communication with regional finance managers

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified Chartered Accountant with an additional degree in Law

Requirements: Around 7-8 years of Experience in Indirect -Tax

EXPERIENCE (Top Law firms/Big 4 / FMCG):

- Handling Goods and Service Tax, Value Added Tax, Service Tax and other Indirect tax matters

- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and meticulous

- Possess good business acumen and highly adaptive.

- Proactive, resourceful and hands-on with good initiative
