Operations Manager/Director - Global Management Consulting Firm

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Ensure multiple project teams, made up of our client and their client staff, deliver operational and financial improvements within a client organization. Ensures all projects are delivered to the defined standard of quality whilst managing within cost and time constraints. Manage the deliverables of the project to the time, cost, and quality requirements. Develop more work from existing clients. Lead and motivate the project managers. Ensure costs are controlled, and revenue is received in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with client's Project guidelines and processes.

YOU WILL HAVE :

Experience as a successful project manager. This experience should be in any Big4. Whole lifecycle management of several Implementation consultancy projects. Graduate-level or equivalent. Drive, commitment, confidence, leadership through engagement, and influencing, communication, organizing, resilience, problem-solving, flexibility.

YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE :

- Corporate experience within Operations, Supply Chain, Sales Transformation or an Analytical role;

- A good understanding of business; impeccable communication and interpersonal skills;

- Previous experience handling projects/assignments in Sales transformation, Operational excellence, productivity improvement, Cost reduction & Value Stream Mapping in core manufacturing or support functions individually or through teams;

- Performed gap analysis, reorganized maintenance operations, inventory management and response time reduction;

- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies, tools and management concepts (including but not limited to relevant techniques from Lean and TPS toolkits);

- A relevant university background;

- Excellent IT skills including advanced MS Office usage;

- Be willing to travel extensively as client locations are global.

DELIVERABLES :

Build Trusted relationships with clients :

- To be the primary point of contact for the most senior Client during all Project phases, communicating status and merchandising Project activities;

- Develop a trusted relationship where any issues with the project are able to be discussed openly and resolved;

- Lead the more work agenda and discussions on referrals

(Over) deliver on results :

- Ensure the successful delivery of all Projects under their control, as per all of the contractual terms;

- Ensure the contractual terms of the project are agreed and understood by the client and project teams;

- Monitor the project evaluation against contractual commitments

- Agree on the project budget and monitor the project cost to ensure the operations teams deliver results within agreed budgets;

- Monitor the status of invoice submission and receipts

- Provide technical and tactical input to project managers on how to maximize project deliverables and minimize any potential risks.

Build the company :

- Train and coach more junior members of the Analysis team;

- Work with the project team to define training needs and to develop required training;

- Have involvement in the delivery of internal training;

- Train Project Managers and Project Leaders to develop them during the course of the project and to prepare development plans for them through the standard target setting process;

- Provide operational support to Sales, through advice or attendance at Sales Meetings
