Payroll Manager @ Vijayawada - Education

- Understand the business and specific operations that generate payroll data, tracking and reporting payroll inputs and outputs into the Navision system for various types of staff

- Drive payroll calendar and ensure that payroll inputs reach on time as per agreed format

- Coordinate receipt of payroll inputs for Academies that staff nearly 5000+ employees that is provided by the People Operations team and the Academy Operations team

- Detailed scrutiny of all such inputs in a timely manner

- Timely processing of accurate and complete payroll

- Lead posting of payroll entries and ensuring that appropriate monthly reconciliations in a timely manner

- Prepare detailed variance analysis for each payroll cycle for all types of payouts

- Preparation of statutory returns and ensuring compliance to all monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, payments and submission deadlines

- Lead the preparation of payroll audit files for compliance, internal and external audits

- Attend to staff queries and reporting needs of payroll services within standard confidentiality limits

- After payroll transition, build a team that can ensure that all documentation relating to inputs are reviewed, monitored and checked rigorously

- At least 4 years of having processed payroll for multiple jurisdictions including different states within India

- At least 2 years of having led a payroll team for processing employee benefits and compensation

- Trained and certified accountant

- Ability to analyse labour law requirements across multiple jurisdiction which are of immediate relevant for running payroll

- Excellent hands on MS office suite skills and proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics (Navision)

- Ability to carry out detailed data analytics of payroll data for sharing as feedback to People Operations function

- Be comfortable with directly run payroll for 5000+ employees until payroll transition is entirely successful

- Maintain integrity and ensuring confidentiality of all payroll information

- Planner, highly organized and structured problem-solver
