City Business Head - Tech Startup

Position Summary : City Business Head

Reports to : Group Head City Planning and Operations

Location : Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai

Key Responsibilities :

- Growth Strategy - Plan and build short-term and long-term growth strategy for the city. Responsible for supply and demand growth in the city across products and categories

- City P&L management - Ensure top-line and bottom-line results for the city in line with business plan

- Operations Management - Organize and coordinate operations in ways that ensure maximum productivity, optimal cost, high quality, and robust delivery

- Competitive Understanding - Keep a close watch on the competitive landscape of the city Seize opportunities to adapt pricing, talent, and business model

- Build a good understanding of the city and the culture and proactively identify and seize opportunities to grow the business through targeted interventions, working closely with local stakeholders and authorities where required

- Supplier Management - Ensure long term and profitable relationships with business partners and supply retention through effective reward and recognition programs.

Ideal Experience and skills :

- Must be a high-impact problem-solver and a high-energy execution machine

- Proven experience as a business head or relevant role with the overall experience of 15+ years

- Excellent organizational and leadership skills

- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

- Thorough understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development

- Has effectively managed large teams in the past and is objective in approach towards goal-setting and monitoring

- Successfully executed business development opportunities and negotiated partnerships

- Knowing the local language of the city is essential

- Experience in early-stage startup environments would be an advantage

- History of strong academic performance, preferably in top tier schools, advanced degree preferred.
