Job Title : Chief Operating Officer

Reporting to Group CEO-UK, Boards of Directors

Subordinates Functional Heads (Operations)

Location : Chennai

Role specification :

- Job summary Oversee the profitable growth of the organization including developing long and short range financial plans, ensuring sound financial controls are in place.

- Set financial priorities accurately to ensure the organization is operating in a manner that supports the needs of the program and staff.

Main responsibilities :

- Leader

- Advises the Board

- Advocates / promotes organization and stakeholders, change related to organization's Vision, Mission & Values

- Decides, guides& implements courses of action in operations.

- The role provides the interface between company and its clients in the UK and Asia Pacific, liaises closely with the COMPANY sales department to market COMPANY KPO resourcing offering.

Visionary / Information Bearer :

- Looks to the future for change opportunities

- Interfaces between Board and employees

- Responsibilities of Chief Operating Officer

- Software integration for Service Delivery

- Oversees design, delivery and quality of the operations and services

Financial, Risk and Facilities Management :

- Recommends yearly budget for Board approval and prudently manages organization's resources within those budget guidelines according to current laws and regulations

- Direct company operations to meet budget and financial goals.

- Direct short-term and long-range planning and budget development to support strategic business goals.

- Demonstrate successful execution of business strategies for company products and services.

- Direct and participate in acquisition and growth activities to support overall business objectives and plans

- Develop, establish, and direct execution of operating policies to support overall company policies and objectives.

Deliverables :

- Provide effective and inspiring leadership by being actively involved in all operations and services.

- Setting up SOPs for operations, implementation and ensuring complete adherence.

- Implementation of new processes in business.

- Overseeing the entire backend operations & fulfillment of business in hand

Qualifications : Graduates or Post Graduate

Experience : Work experience in a BPO/ KPO / IT is Must.

- Ideal experience/Knowledge in accounting or software development would be added advantage.

- As COO, the individual must demonstrates critical competencies in four broad categories: commitment to results, business savvy, leading change, and motivating people.

Competencies :

- Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking, and presentation skills.

- Solid working knowledge of budgeting, sales, business development, and strategic planning.

- Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies.
