Battery Smart - Manager - Data Science

Responsibilities:

1. Identify business use cases for predictive modelling and developing advanced analytics statistical models, machine learning methods and AI solutions.

2. Convert high level goals into set of use cases or KPIs to be added to the solution to solve Business problem

3. Identify the right metrics/ measurement frameworks to track progress against a given business goal

4. Design, run and measure experiments to test business hypotheses

5. Expedite root cause analyses/insight generation against a given recurring use case through automation/ self-serve platforms

6. Develop compelling stories with business insights, focusing on strategic goals of the organization

7. Set high standards in project management and own the consistency and accuracy of project documentation, organized neatly in accordance with standards

8. Take responsibility for analytical skill-building within the organization (training, process definition, research of new tools and techniques etc.)

9. Aid in defining roadmap/strategy for respective workstream in collaboration with management and stakeholders

Requirement:

1. 5+ years' work experience in analytics/ data science or related field

2. At least 2-3 years hands-on experience on common data science toolkits, such as R, Matlab, Python related etc.

3. Should have good knowledge of statistics and machine learning techniques

4. Should able to soft through data and extract the underlying patterns and insights which could be applied to solve the problem or add value

5. Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as Classification, regression, RF, CRF, SVM, Clustering, CNN, Neural network etc

6. Experience with data visualization tools, such as QlikView, D3.js, GGplot, etc. to present the observation or solution in simple and consumable manner on dashboard.

7. Sound knowledge of Google / AWS / Azure AI services/platform

8. Excellent knowledge of statistical measurement frameworks (measures of central tendency, dispersion, distribution, significance testing etc.)
