Associate - Cost Transformation & Procurement - Management Consulting Firm

We are looking for Associate - Cost Transformation and Procurement for one of the top management-consulting firms in the world. In 2004, the firm established its presence in the Indian market and now has nodes across various geographies. They play a critical role in supporting teams globally to help with analytics and research across all industries, for corporate cases, client development, and private equity diligence. They provide expertise and insights to clients, case teams and Practice Leaders, globally. It is one of the fastest growing with over 500 employees.

Position Summary:

Cost Transformation and Procurement Center of Expertise (CoE) comprises a bunch of enterprising, highly analytical, and motivated 40 enthusiasts spread across India, Poland and US -with background across Engineering, Business, Math and Economics and varied industry experience. The team supports cost diagnostic and reduction programs for clients, to help improve their competitive positioning and strategy formulation/ execution. Their focus is on cost transformation; cost management/visibility and budgeting control and tracking; and formulating sourcing strategy and category support/implementation.

You will work with partners, clients and case teams across industries, functions and regions to provide research, knowledge & analytics support. You will collaborate with business leaders, acting as a thought partner in providing advice and client-ready insights. Associates could lead 1-2 team members on problem solving, work-planning, research, analytics, and overall content and materials for client discussions/workshops. You will also help partners in developing intellectual property, go-to-market materials, pitch documents and publications.

Job responsibilities:

1.Performing research/analysis across all geographies and industries and structuring approaches / presentations for adding value in complex business analysis

2.Identify and apply the relevant analytical tools in work stream

3.Preparing an action plan for client to implement the strategic solutions and manage its execution

4.Ability to provide solid business judgement to derive answers in situations where data is not easily available or explicitly published

5.May have first level team management responsibility which involves allocating and reviewing work to a small team of analysts

Qualification & skill sets:

1.Graduate (preferably with degree in engineering / science / commerce / business / economics) with at least 24-36 months experience or an MBA/Post-Graduate from top-tier institute/university with high academic records having 0-12 months of experience

2.Excellent problem solving skills to lead the team towards pragmatic solutions

3.Excellent project management and team management skills

4.Proficient at using various analytical and reporting / visualization tools such as Alteryx, Tableau

5.Ability to handle multiple tasks and handle dynamic case expectations

6.Highly effective communication skills and ability and deliver clear and professional presentations to senior stakeholders (managers, partners and clients)

7.Highly effective coaching and mentoring skills
