Position: Assistant Director/Lead Analyst - Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Assessment

Position Purpose -

- Our Client is seeking the mid-level ESG professional who can formulate the product strategy, develop the innovative product proposition, and can independently manage the product subset

- We are looking at professional who has hands on experience on ESG product and has worked on methodologies and product that finds relevance in both Developed and Emerging Markets

- Role requires the person to develop and maintain the product / service and support the relationship teams.

- The role requires candidate to work in environment with diversity of work, and someone who embraces to work both independently and in teams.

- Candidate should have research and analytical bent of mind to understand and make use of various research reports on Environmental studies, Social Impact studies published globally and can incorporate the knowledge & understanding in development of products and services.

- The role requires the candidate to demonstrate the high degree of problem-solving capacity and ability to come up with innovative solutions

Key Responsibilities

- Product vision and roadmaps to ensure a competitive offering in line with evolving market needs and aligned with corporate priorities

- Product development in congruence with globally acceptable Environmental Compliance norms, Social Impact norms and Governance parameters.

- Candidate should be aware about the global and domestic standards related to Human Rights, Labour Rights, Environment and Business Ethics so that the breaches can be identified and factored into the analysis undertaken by team.

- Prepare high quality case profiles based on the analysis undertaken on companies and present the same to committees for final rating outcomes. Thus, role requires excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

- Engage with companies for their assessment and to explain them the rationale for assessment

- Support the analyst team to prepare high quality research reports and make analytical judgements objectively.

Education and Experience:

- Master's degree in related discipline (business, economics, environment and/or social sciences);

- Bachelor's qualification in environmental science / environmental engineering (or any other relevant discipline)

- At least four years of relevant work experience; particularly in ESG compliance & Research with familiarity to Indian and global regulations and policies.

- Candidates having previous experience of working in entities operating in ESG ranking segment and functional knowledge of servicing the global clients in segment would be advantageous.
