Program Overview
Grant Thornton in India has designed a 70 hour programme to upskill participants on financial modelling and valuation techniques. This programme will help you create financial models that can be easily understood and implemented to gain insights into the opportunities and risks being faced by businesses. This programme will also enable you to gauge the performance of a financial asset or portfolio of a business project or any other investment. Financial modelling can also be used by investors and financial analysts to achieve a multitude of goals, from cash flow forecasting and management, and board reporting to strategic planning and options analysis.

Program Objectives
The programme will focus on:
● Understand, refresh their MS excel skills along with interpreting financial statement peculiar to creating and working around a financial model.
● Build a financial modelling template
● Understand the importance of managing data and respective assumptions to build a financial model.
● Build up flexible cash flow models and learn the application of the discounted cash flows to build a financial model.
● Learn to calculate various measures of valuations such as WACC, CAPM, sensitivity analysis and concepts of IRR.
● Understand the details of a project valuation model with the help of an integrated financial model and asset schedule.
● Create and interpret an EPC and a CAPEX schedule.
● Reporting the progress of projects with the help of GANTT charts.
● Build interactive excel dashboards with the help of sparkling pivots, map pivots, bar charts etc. including dynamic titles.
● Concepts of merger motivations and different kinds of mergers.
● Understanding various approaches of valuation as required formergers and acquisitions transactions.
● Understanding key drivers and inputs for mergers.
● Learn accretion/dilution analysis and modelling a financing plan
