Key Deliverables & Activities - Manage Transportation Contracts, - Manage Freight Negotiations & Vendor selection - Manage Freight bills / claims settlement - Preparation of Freight Budget in accordance with the Sales Budget. - Identify effective, capable, and financially sound transporters for unhindered movement, keeping the freight spends within Budget. - Timely renewal of Freight Contracts. - Monitoring & Meeting the Freight budget - On time vehicle availability for stocks movement - Time bound, Safe and Secure movement of stocks - Maintain service levels to achieve CFR/RSP targets - Transport planning and Vendor Management. - Manage export movements to SAARC/ME nations - Manage cold supply chain. - Manage dedicate fleet. - Manage various modes of transportation like Air, Road, Cold, Dry, FTL, PTL, Couriers etc. - TMS Implementation Key Interactions: Internal - Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement External - Transporters, Distributors, Couriers, Export handling agencies Financial Dimensions: Freight Budget preparation and management Reporting: Head Logistics & Customer Service Team: Direct Reports - 2 on-roll & 2 off-roll Education: Graduate / MBA Experience: 5-7 years post graduation, Industry - FMCG/Durables Skills: - Understanding of Key Processes - Understanding of Business Fundamentals - Integrity - Stakeholder Management - Effective Communication - Analytical ability, Logical thinking - Cross functions co- ordination. - TMS Implementation experience preferred
