Job Description - Business Analytics

- Develop advanced predictive models on large-scale datasets to address a wide range of business problems

- Structure problem statement and hypothesis, define data, process, functional, and architectural requirements and be ultimately accountable for the full lifecycle of the solution

- Build and fine tune algorithms that scale up from small-scale proof-of-concept stage to full production systems

- Build knowledge artefacts of real business problems that were solved with advanced analytics techniques

- Ability to extract hidden business insights from multiple data sources using statistical modelling and prepare regular management reports from large dataset and use data visualization tools such as Tableau to present data in a precise and meaningful manner

- Understand and analyse business requirements and translate them into new data management solutions by creating new applications / new application features or external applications

- Review current processes design processes to improve existing systems and building new systems and working closely with various stakeholders for end-to-end application development

Requirements :

- Experience in statistical/analytics tools such as R, SAS, or Python

- Ability to program in programming language such as C#, Java (J2EE), Python etc.

- A strong track record of innovating through statistical algorithms and their applications.

- Hands on experience with data mining, text mining, its concepts, techniques and implementation

- Practical experiences with data discovery with large and complex data assets from varied information sources

- Expertise in at least 2 visualization tools Qlikview, Spotfire, Tableau for designing insights.

- Expertise in SQL programming languages and familiarity with Hadoop

- Ability to create and implement Database design and architecture and possess working knowledge of Oracle Database / MS Access and SQ

- Strong communication and presentation skills

- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving abilities
