Job Title : Zonal sales manager

Job Summary We are seeking a Zonal sales manager for our client. They will be responsible for Overall, ensure the planning & execution of overall sales business strategy to achieve sustainable, profitable development and growth of the division through their sales team.

Job Responsibilities :

- Strategic Planning - Develop innovative product-market strategies to expand the company's market presence and brand awareness. Identify & effectively implement Major and Key initiatives at zonal level in the areas of Market Development, Distribution expansion & Sales Operation

- Customer Relationship Management - Build and nurture strong relationships with customers and distributors to enhance the company's reputation and market position.

- Market Mix Optimization - Identify and implement an effective market mix that resonates with the core target consumers, ensuring alignment with departmental and company-wide goals. Make Annual and Quarterly plan for market development activities in alignment with HO.

- Product Launch Leadership - Lead the sales team in successful product launches for new categories, ensuring market penetration and brand visibility.

- Sales Strategy Implementation - Execute sales strategies that support the department's objectives and contribute to revenue generation for the business.

- Performance Analysis - Conduct and identify SWOT of the sales team performance on a monthly basis and develop action plan for improvement.

- Competition Management - Take direct responsibility for a) scheme design (in consultation with HO) and feedback on effectiveness of schemes b) development and implementation of competition fighting strategy in consultation with HO.

- Inventory Management - Regularly monitor inventory pile up in slow & nonmoving SKUs, take remedial actions.

- Managing Budgets: Develop and manage sales and marketing operating budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

- Financial Analysis: Analyse and control expenditures within the division to adhere to budgetary requirements.

- Team Management - Review & monitor team performance along with providing regular constructive feedback to improve performance of individuals and teams in the organization. Motivation, retention, and career growth of the team.

Qualifications and Skills:

- MBA (Marketing and Sales)

- Certifications on critical thinking and problem solving would be an additional advantage

- 10 - 15 years (Minimum- at managerial level)

- Candidate from Tea Industry preferred or Food Industry

- The candidate should have handled a business of 20-25 crores per annum

- The candidate would have an experience of Strategic and Annual Business Plan of the organization

- The candidate would have excellent in planning new product launches

- Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills

- Ability to manage, train and retain the sales team

- Experience in managing a high-performance sales team

- An ability to understand and analyse sales performance metrics

- Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills

- Multichannel experience would be preferred
