Zonal Head - Education - IIM/ISB

We are a chain of schools which currently cater to nearly 50,000 students in AP, Mumbai and Bangalore. We are expanding rapidly and are looking to open schools in Pune for the Academic Year June 2014-15.

We are looking to hire a Zonal Head who will head all Operations, Sales and Academics delivery at the schools and also involve themselves in new site searches for successive Academic Years. We own and operate under two brand names: "Gowtham Model School" and "Orchids The International School".

Roles and responsibilities :

To summarise, the key roles and responsibilities will involve complete Profit and Loss responsibility for the schools being managed and activities will include the following :

- day-to- day operation and management of schools with staff strength of around 75 per school.

This will involve managing a team consisting of a Dean (who monitors Academics Delivery), Marketing Managers (who carry out sales/marketing for admissions) and Principals (for operational running of schools).

- Academic delivery: parent engagement and interaction to manage expectations; MIS review and analysis of qualitative review of delivery of Academics. Content will be provided through a central team.

- Administrative / Operational: ensuring smooth operations of the school and resolving any issues that arise from time to time.

- Acquiring Schools / finding new location for schools: as part of expansion for successive Academic Years.

- Marketing: aggressive sales/marketing for the first 2-3 years to achieve targets set out.

Desired Profile :

- Should have experience in Retail or B2B Sales or Operations Management.

- Education: IIM / ISB (preferably should be a passout of a batch between the years of 2005 to 2011).

- Experience in education sector not essential.
