Zonal Director - Academic Excellence - Education

Our client is an innovative education company that has developed a comprehensive academic system. The K-10 academic system is being implemented in the chain of self-owned and partner schools across India.

The integrated academic system is designed by expert researchers working to make quality education affordable. The business has tasted success due to empowering teachers through a helper app that has detailed lesson plans, introducing children to learning by doing approach and delivering personalized learning experience to each student. Currently, our client has partnered with more than 700 schools in 14 states and is growing on a rapid scale.

The founder duo is alumni of premier institutes like IIM-Ahmedabad and Narsee Monjee College. They worked for more than 10 years in the field of education before founding the startup.

As Zonal Academic Excellence Director, you will be leading a team of Academic Excellence Director and Sr. Academic Excellence Managers.

What you will do:

- Designing and monitoring processes to track execution and academic progress across schools.

- Liaising between central and field teams to increase impact in classrooms.

- Coaching and mentoring the team to build their ability to service all schools.

Candidate Profile:

What you need to have:

- 10+ years of experience

- People with Teach For India Fellowship preferred, training and development background, prior teaching experience preferred

- Very strong academic background

- Excellent people management skills. Should have managed a team of 40 people

- Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and collaborating with large and diverse teams

- Ability and flexibility to travel 20-25 days in a month

- Excellent relationship-building skills

- Passion for Education

- Excellent data analysis skills

- Possesses honesty, integrity, strong work ethic, and team skills

- Strong problem solving and communication abilities; is organized and efficient

- Excited by and open to new ideas and new ways of doing things

- Proven ability to meet deadlines in the high-paced work environment

- Leadership skills to hire, coach and manage a team
