Opportunity for Zonal Credit Manager - SME - Handling Maharashtra & Based Location is Mumbai with a leading private sector bank!

Division: SME


Reporting Relationships: National Credit Manager

Position Grade: M7/M8

Min Experience - 9-12yrs

JOB ROLE:

Quality and uniform credit appraisal

- Ensuring that all credit processes are followed and policy norms are implemented in underwriting and approval of loans in the assigned Zone.

- Personal discussion with high ticket customers to understand business, cash flows, the purpose of the loan, future plans etc.

- Keeping track of industry level/competition level trends and initiating corrective actions if any required in credit appraisal policy/procedures

Credit TATs within acceptable levels

- Ensuring timely processing/decision (wherever applicable) of cases for all assigned locations/Region / Zone.

- Agency empanelment and tracking their performance on TATs & quality

- Managing - Escalations

Quality credit portfolio

- Ensuring robust


- Early Warning - process implementation in the assigned zone

- Maintaining close coordination with collections / Legal Recovery team on the stress accounts and also on portfolio trends.

- Maintaining close coordination with Risk Containment Unit on Fraud detection/investigation and on portfolio trends.

- Monitoring the portfolio on all


- Performance Monitoring Triggers and initiating corrective action, wherever required.

- Ensuring timely review/renewal of all accounts in the portfolio

- Contribute towards continuous improvement of control processes by identifying and highlighting the gaps/risk.

Audit & Compliance

- Ensuring compliance of all bank policies/ norms/guidelines and targeting - satisfactory- audit rating.

Team Development

- Developing the individual team members for optimum utilization of their skills and job satisfaction.

- Working as - Mentor- to other CM / ACM / RCMs / Sr. RCM at the location

- Ability to handle the team and keep the team motivated. Be a source of motivation for the team under him/her

b. Relevant training programs and development goals

c. Career planning and progression
