Role Title - Zonal Business Development Head - North & East
Location : Delhi
Qualification : MBA
Industry Background :
- Supply chain solution design and selling. Exposure to temperature sensitive operations will be an added advantage.
- Experience as a regional Business Development head with P&L responsibility is desirable. Past experience of building capacity and managing rapid expansion in a highly dynamic business environment is desirable.
Reports to : Executive Director
Role Purpose :
- This is a leadership role with a focus on design and selling of supply chain solutions as well as selling warehouse and truck capacity with the goal to maximize revenue potential as well as capacity utilization for the Zone.
- The role involves the creating and managing a team of people in solution selling as well as other, related functions. The role needs significant cross-functional collaboration and with Operations, Product Teams, and other Corporate Support Teams such as HR, Finance, etc.
- This role requires a strong vision & drive to build for future.
- As Zonal business development sales in small, fully-funded, fast-growing company, the role requires versatility and an entrepreneurial bent of mind.
Key Deliverables : Strategic
- Business Growth of the cold chain business - Q on Q and Y on Y
- Product level Strategy & Planning.
- Sales Budget Planning & Allocation
- Organic Growth from Existing Customers
- New Customer Acquisition & Contract Management
- Customer Retention and Relationship Management
- Manage Customer Escalations
- Customer Level Profitability (EBIDTA)
- Receivable Management
- Improve Sales Force & Customer Service Functional effectiveness
- Build and maintain strong and effective relationship with all stakeholders within the organization and leverage the existing capabilities and vast customer base of Express Distribution and SCM businesses to grow the Cold Chain solutions business.
- Focus on current and evolving trends, practices and regulatory requirements in supply chain and logistics and cold chain industry. Represent the company in various industry associations and social/external media.
People Management :
- Change agent - Challenge status-quo, design and lead change interventions and help people adapt to change.
- Ability to operate in a matrixed environment and achieve results without direct reporting relationships.
- Leadership development - coaching/mentoring and succession planning
- High degree of executive maturity, strong - executive presence- with an ability to build immediate trust and respect.
