Overview : We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller, or Comptroller, to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Finance Controller responsibilities will also include financial risk management. Key Responsibilities : - Managing all finance and accounting operations - Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances - Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements - Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting and Revenue Recognition - Co-ordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances to the management - Manage quality control over financial transactions and reporting - Prepare and publish timely monthly book closure - Support month-end and year-end close process - Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting - Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls - Improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business - Identify accounting and financial issues and suggest timely solutions - Stakeholder management - Ensuring accuracy of financial statements Requirements and skills : - Qualified Chartered Accountant - 15+ years of post-qualification experience in accounting and finance (preferable with a stint of 4-5 years in Big 4) - Proven working experience as a Financial Controller - Thorough knowledge of IFC, Indian GAAP (Ind-AS), accounting principles and procedures - Experience with creating financial statements and general ledgers - Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process - Excellent accounting software user (i.e., Tally) and administration skills
