Our ideal candidate comes with 6-8 years of strong Corporate-Legal experience in the Real Estate sector/Consumer Internet/Ecommerce/Telecom sectors preferably. He/She is expected to have excellent legal and business acumen with a keen eye for detail, ability to multi-task and an excellent communicator and problem-solver. Our Senior manager-legal is expected to understand Zolo's business, provide the requisite legal support, work very closely with the CXOs and the corporate finance team at Zolo and act as the legal strategist for the company. More about the role responsibilities : Understand the business in entirety - setup and manage the complete legal division aligning with the business at Zolo:1. Oversee the legal requirements of the company's business functions, compliances andrequirements. 2. Develop a legal structure and framework for all kinds of legal documentation, negotiate commercial contracts, manage and maintain a system to track all the executed documents of the company. Documentation includes but is not limited to SLA, MoU, NDA, PoA, MoE, LoI, Agreement of Sale, Conveyance Deed, Development Agreement, Leave &amp; License, Lease Deed, Declaration Cum Confirmations, Indenture of Mortgage, etc. 3. Develop a professionally competent staff of in-house legal professionals and conduct Due Diligence, Pre-closing, Closing, Post-closing Compliances and related documentation in accordance with departmental policies and procedures, monitor and track contract flow volume 4. Provide advisories and guidance to various functions and stakeholders, by identifying critical aspects and issue to minimize risks and maximise profits 5. Review and interpret pending or new legislation or regulatory rules and change in interpretation thereof or consequent risk assessment and the impact thereof on Zolo's business to ensure compliance or strategy changes. Focus on what is right for the company not just what is best for the group, project or self. Act in ways that optimizes the overall business 6. Encourage cross-functional and cross business brainstorming and project teaming, while collaborating with CFO/CSO and City Heads to identify useful and strategically relevant insights More about the role requirements: 1. Relevant Prior Experience: Thorough knowledge of Real Estate and Corporate Laws, including but not limited to Company Law, MRTP, IT Act, FEMA, Contracts Act, Consumer Laws, Consumer, Civil and Criminal litigation, TPA, RERA, SEBI, Arbitration, FDI policies,, exchange control regulations, etc. 2. Strong Educational Background: LL.B Degree /Integrated LL.B Degree from a leading law school in India (CS qualification would be an added advantage). 3. Complete fluency in English and Hindi is a must 4.
