We, at Zolo (www.zolostays.com), are looking for a young Associate Director of Business Development who would be responsible for growing Zolo Select business in Bangalore. She/he will be responsible to generate project leads, develop strategic alliances with real estate builders, channel partners/brokers, and HNIs for Bangalore. She/he would make engaging presentations about the company and the business model to real estate developers and channel partners and acquire projects for Zolo Select business. This is a role that involves 50-60% of the time to travel in the city of Bangalore. Folks with 5+ years of experience of real estate sales and/or builder B2B sales from construction equipment/materials industry working in leading real estate companies, property brokerage, or construction sales companies should apply.

Zolo is a Nexus funded, series B company which provides fully managed co-living spaces which are fun, flexible and functional. We are currently present in Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, Delhi and Kota, and fast expanding to other geographies. Founded by alumni of IIMs, IITs, AIIMS, ISB, we are at a team size of 500+. Our managed co-living solutions are looking to elevate the traditional paying guest accommodations/hostels, and offer all kinds of basic and luxury living amenities with a promise of high quality. Some of the prominent features include fully furnished rooms, hygienic and healthy food, daily housekeeping, internet facilities, security, and a vibrant community. We are now looking to aggressively expand our operations in existing as well as new markets

The role of the Associate Director BD would encompass the following:

- Assessment of the city / cluster demand potential: Mapping demand clusters in a new geography in terms of different customer segments (working professionals, students, male / female, high end / low end), along with specific demand centers (large Tech / IT parks, SEZs, universities / colleges / institutes, large Corporate offices, etc.) and understanding of dynamics of demand in those geographies. Involves both online / desk research as well as field surveys and meetings

- Assessment of the city/cluster supply structure: Mapping existing properties/supply in target geographies, type of supply, the quantity of existing supply and demand supply-gap, nature and pricing of supply, key dynamics of existing supply and the potential list of suppliers to target. Involves both online / desk research as well as field surveys and meetings.

- Initiating conversations / liaising with potential suppliers: Meeting property owners/suppliers in target markets to assess on-ground acquisition potential, coordinating between central top management and city teams on specific acquisition cases, in depth.

KPIs for the role would be the following:

- Meeting targets for property acquisitions (number of live beds) in the city

- The efficiency of lead funnel management, channel partners management

- Business growth from large builders/developers

- Profitability of acquired properties

- Process adherence and timely reporting
