Zokie - Tech Cofounder/Chief Technology Officer

Zokie is a nascent startup that envisions letting people find "living-life" partners for their trips, travels and local events as well as having them join in for curated group travels and events.

At Zokie, we have set off on a journey of easing out the way people have fun in their lives, be it from biking up to Leh or attending a rock band concert in their cities or travelling to an international destination, with the single aim that no one wanting to enjoy an event should stay devoid merely for want of company.

Zokie, thus, is a user-matching and agent-aggregator platform, hoping to eventually use advanced tech to match people to their requirements better and quicker.

Current Stage:

- The MVP version of the platform is live at https://zokie.in and is built using Ruby on Rails.

- The platform was launched in December 2020, has its first few customers, has made it first revenue and is close to achieving its Proof of Concept.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Technology Co-Founder who can help us start on the development of the Zokie Mobile App and then, subsequently, build a team to scale up the platform. The App will be built on a language of the CTO's choice (and not Ruby On Rails).

What We Are Looking For:

- We are looking for a technology professional who has deep interest and atleast some exposure to Consumer Tech.

- Has the right startup aptitude ie. working under ambiguity, rolling up sleeves and not shaken by small setbacks.

- Can bring together the business model and the technology.

- Brownie points if you are an outdoorsy person and love to travel.

Must-haves :

- Software development experience of 8+ years with technology start-ups

- Demonstrated history in building consumer focused products

- Hands-on Coder

On Offer :

- This role is envisaged as a Founding Team role and comes with equity ownership only, till we are able to raise external funding, post which some salary is expected to kick in.

- For the right candidate a part-time role can also be worked out.
