Financial Controller at an upcoming Asset Management Company

The Financial Controller role will be the first hire for the Finance team, a critical function towards achieving our objectives and goals

Responsibilities :

Lead the finance team and all programs and processes for the effective functioning of the AMC

- All activities and exercises related to accounting & book closure, tax, statutory & internal audits, tax compliance (income & indirect tax) & filings, companies Act, labour laws & SEBI compliances on finance

- FP&A - business planning & annual operating plans, MIS reports, financial analysis and due diligences, strategy and business finance

- Financials - P&L projections and management, cost control, capitalisation and net worth/capital adequacy

- Recruit, build and grow the team for specific roles & functions

Requirements :

- A CA degree (MBA degree would be an added advantage)

- 6+ years of experience in the finance department of a leading AMC, PMS, wealth management firm

- Leadership experience in accounting, audit, FP&A, financials

- Experience and knowledge about mutual fund operations and processes, AMC compliance & financial requirements

- Experience being part of audits and interacting & responding to queries from the regulator

- Deep relationships in the wealth industry and aware of evolving business & financial trends at AMCs, wealth firms and fintechs

- Experience building and leading teams in independent environments
