Manager / Director - Internal Audit

Shift timings - 3 PM - 12 AM

Description :

- Will be responsible for managing the end-to-end audits. Drive innovation within the Audit and SOX team and generate fresh ideas to achieve the objective of the Audit and SOX team

- Responsible for the successful direction and execution of the audit plan as directed by Audit leadership.

- Proactively identifies, coordinates, and executes strategic department initiatives to advance the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the audit function.

- Manages integrated teams of diverse personnel and translates the aggregate of expertise and keen

observation into value added insight for the function's key stakeholders including functional and

administrative reporting lines, as well as executive and senior management.

- Drives tactical collaboration with other risk, control, and compliance functions to ensure strategic alignment

Responsibilities :

- To conduct internal audits as per the approved plan and appraise the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and statutory compliance

- Develop test plans and coordinate the performance of management testing of internal controls required by Sarbanes-Oxley.

- Ability to understand and map processes, identify control gaps in processes and devise the risk and control matrix for processes

- Ensure timeliness and transparency in reporting on key controls and recommend corrective actions to

prevent recurrence in future

- Ensure quick closure of queries raised during the audit by discussing with relevant functional heads and securing concurrence

- Thorough understanding of and familiarity with the concept and practice of self-auditing institutions, as in the COSO framework and control self-assessment approach for the review of reliable financial reporting, operational efficiency and compliance.

- Maintain adequate records, working papers of audits completed with dates of completion, remarks etc

- Responsible for ensuring controls in line with ICFR (Internal controls over financial reporting)

- Create and maintain continuous audit dashboards and drive the key parameters centrally

- Support business in identifying areas of leakages/improve efficiencies etc.

- Continuous monitoring of open audit issues, follow up with business leads to ensure effective closure of all audit points, to enhance effective controls and ensure effective closures with process improvements wherever applicable

- Liaising with all levels of management and building successful relationships across the business

Qualifications :

- Min 10+ years experience in a public accounting firm (Big 4 preferred) and/or MNC

- CPA or CA or CIA must for this role.

- Be an advanced user of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint

- Demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration skills

- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to implement and deliver solutions
