Designation: Senior Manager - Safety

Overview: As the Senior Manager - Safety at Zepto, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing safety programs and initiatives across our organization. You will play a crucial role in promoting a culture of safety, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.

Qualification:

- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

- 10+ years of progressive experience in safety management roles, preferably in the Logistics industry.

- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CPE would be advantageous.

- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.

- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective safety programs and initiatives.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Your Role

1. Safety Strategy and Planning:

- Develop and implement strategic safety plans and initiatives aligned with organizational goals and objectives.

- Conduct regular assessments to identify safety risks and opportunities for improvement.

- Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate safety into overall business strategies.

2. Safety Program Management:

- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of safety programs, policies, and procedures.

- Monitor and analyze safety metrics and performance indicators to track progress and effectiveness.

- Provide guidance and support to departmental safety coordinators or managers.

3. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:

- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, standards, and codes.

- Stay abreast of industry trends and changes in safety legislation, and recommend adjustments to policies and procedures as needed.

- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and participate in audits and inspections.

4. Training and Education:

- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels of the organization.

- Promote awareness of safety best practices and encourage active participation in safety initiatives.

- Provide guidance on emergency response procedures and crisis management protocols.

5. Incident Management and Investigation:

- Oversee the investigation of safety incidents, near misses, and accidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

- Ensure timely reporting and documentation of safety incidents in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address root causes and implement preventive measures.

6. Safety Culture and Engagement:

- Foster a culture of safety by promoting open communication, transparency, and accountability.

- Encourage employee involvement in safety committees, programs, and initiatives.

- Recognize and reward individuals and teams for their contributions to safety excellence.
