Our Story:

Zepto is a fast-growing startup that delivers groceries in 10 minutes flat through an optimized network of dark stores that we're building across the country! We're scaling up rapidly across India with operations live across Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi NCR, Chennai and Hyderabad.

We are incredibly well funded - we recently announced a fundraising from Indian and Global investors that include Y Combinator, Nexus Venture Partners, Glade Brook and more! We've also built out one of the best startup teams in India, with Senior Executives from Uber, Flipkart, Dream11 and institutions like Stanford, INSEAD, IIM, and IIT.

Your Role:

- We are looking to onboard Category Managers, who will take end to end ownership of the category by driving the sales & business operations in the consumer tech space.

- This role will need a specialist with gamut understanding of either F&B, QSR and Food delivery Cloud kitchens/ Aggregator model.

The key responsibility for this role will be :-

1) Growth champion - You will drive marketplace growth of the category. Existing Category expansion & adding up new products / brands will be one of the key objectives of this role.

2) Goal oriented - You will own the P&L (profit and loss) statement for the Category that you will handle. Targets as per annual operating plan will be another major key responsibility.

- To achieve them you will be responsible to create necessary infrastructure as well. With expertise in the industry you should know the nuances of categories which will increase our profitability.

3) Target achiever - As a Business lead you will be responsible for revenue targets as well as gross margins. You will decide on the organization plan and strategy about margin with vendors and business partners. Negotiate with vendors for higher margins wherever possible.

4) Planner - You will be responsible for merchandising, assortment planning, option planning pre season and in season to ensure a thorough representation of your category. Also to plan and decide on probable business partners & vendors for future growth.

5) Trend spotter -You should be able to identify broader trends and fill in category gaps. Plan, execute and implement the latest trends on our platform.

6) Multi - tasker - You should be able to coordinate with marketing, supply chain, cataloging, finance, commercial and other functions of the organization.

7) Operations genie: You should have prior experience or knowledge and confidence to mentor/supervise merchandising operations - including the management of cataloging and discount monitoring.

8) Marketing genius: You should be able to drive visibility plans, promotion plans, and coordinate between the internal marketing teams and that of sellers.

What we are looking for:

A strong problem solver with first principle thinking, ready to get hands dirty while managing teams, someone who eats, sleeps and breathes ownership and is looking forward to being in an extremely high impact role.

Potential Backgrounds:

1) MBA / Experience in the buy / sourcing / supply / QSR/Cloud kitchen exposure procurement side for the consumer products/QSR brands.

2) Strong analytical skills, ability to look at problems holistically and use of data to drive problem solving.

3) High ownership, proactive, self-starter & all hands-on deck attitude
