As part of the category buying team, we are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, prospecting, and onboarding new brands to sell on our platform. The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in expanding our product offerings and enhancing the overall shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Prospecting and Lead Generation:

- Identify and research potential brands that align with our platform's target market and customer preferences.

- Develop a robust pipeline of prospects through market research, industry events, and networking.

Outreach and Relationship Building:

- Initiate contact with potential brands through various channels, including cold calls, emails, and social media.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at brands, understanding their needs and showcasing the value of partnering with Zepto.

Negotiation and Deal Closure:

- Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling proposals for potential brand partners.

- Negotiate favorable terms and agreements to ensure mutually beneficial partnerships.

- Drive the contract signing process and facilitate a smooth onboarding experience for new brands.

Market Analysis and Strategy:

- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities.

- Provide insights and recommendations to the leadership team regarding potential growth opportunities and market strategies.

Collaboration and Cross-functional Communication:

- Work closely with the marketing, product, and operations teams to align business development efforts with overall company objectives and help new brands to create launch GTM strategies

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of new brands onto the platform.

Qualifications & Experience

- MBA/Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college.

- Work experience in business development, sales, or a related role atleast 18 months within the e-commerce industry.

- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

- Able to work with others in a fast-paced, team environment and to interact effectively with all levels of management.

- Results oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, can work individually with minimal or no supervision
