About the Company:

Yunus Social Business (YSB) Fund Bengaluru, launched in 2017, finances social businesses pan-India across impact sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, clean energy and livelihoods. We invest patient capital in these businesses in order to help them scale their operations and we provide post-investment support to these businesses on strategy, product, talent and impact assessment.

YSB Fund Bengaluru is part of Yunus Social Business Global Initiatives, which was co-founded by Nobel Peace Laureate Muhammad Yunus in 2011 and has supported over 50 social businesses globally. In addition to our operations in India, Yunus Social Business has a footprint in Brazil, Columbia, Uganda and Kenya; with a team of over 40 people and a central office in Germany.

About the Role :

YSB Fund Bengaluru is looking for an enthusiastic, driven Finance Director to aid the operations of the fund.This position would work closely with the Managing Director of the Fund.

Key Responsibilities :

Capital Raising :

- Drive the institutional client relationships and raise debt from domestic or international debt capital markets for Tier I and Tier II capital.

- Developing a capital market access for alternative asset classes, and drive syndication of deals for co-lending, loan origination, for products such as rated NCDs, structured Bonds, and other structured finance products.

- Build growth strategy for YSB Fund Bangalore utilizing business plan forecasts, scenario building, and cost allocation decisions, while assessing and minimizing risk, and raise structured/tailor-made term funding to suit the business needs of the Fund.

Treasury :

- Oversee internal financial performance, including accounting, statutory compliances, governance controls for YSB Fund Bangalore's NBFC, including reporting to the Reserve Bank to India, affiliated credit bureaus and other stakeholders.

- Monitor the development of timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis.

Does this Sound Like You?

Must Haves :

- Successful track record of raising and executing senior, unitranche, high yield, mezzanine and private debt capital for large and middle-market issuers.

- Deep networks with financial institutions including Banks, DFIs, Large NBFCs, and Mutual Funds.

- Highly developed credit analysis, financial modelling and valuation skills.

- Excellent negotiation skills.

Preferred Requirements:

- Experience in financial management in banking, corporation, venture capital fund or NBFC.

- CA/ CFA or both.
