About the role Yulu is looking for Manager, Operations Design who is passionate about bringing efficiency in the Operations for the micro-mobility domain. You will be responsible for the function and to lead the ideation, refinement and implementation of new and existing processes, tools and methodologies for day-to-day execution at the ground level across the business for all operational activities at Yulu. You will be the custodian of all these internal processes, related tools and the mindset of continuous improvement in Yulu operations with the objective of enhancing productivity and establishing best practices and the application thereof. You will be measured against a given target to enhance profitability by leveraging revenue enhancement or cost reduction at a per asset and trip level. You will do this by strengthening the existing operations design function and coordinating with other functions in Yulu, e.g. city-heads and their teams, Technology, Finance, CX, HR etc. Responsibilities and Duties 1. Primary responsibility for the function is to create processes, tools and their review, improvements and implementation from time to time in harmony with the five (internal) operating principles and the priorities. 2. Challenging the existing ways of doing things, i.e. status quo, and bring about step function changes to enhance profitability and increase in customer experience. 3. Leading the Operations Design function and strengthen the team. 4. Manage these changes effectively by following change management principles. 5. Use data, frequent field visits etc. to find insights and improvement areas. 6. Be the ambassador for imbibing a process-oriented approach especially for recurring activities across the organization and drive the culture of delivering right everytime. 7. Ensure SOPs are duly created for key process (80:20 rule) and updated from time to time. Ensure that processes are being followed. SOPs to be easily accessible on Yulu One (intranet). 8. Be the primary funnel for various requirements within operations from across all locations and various functions towards the technology team. 9. Primary point of contact for the developments in the Yulu operations technology platforms, e.g. operations app. 10. Coordinate with the learning and development team for training arrangements for new tools, processes, developments for the field staff. 11. Keep the organization and management informed of status, progress and plans. Qualifications and Skills - Deep problem solving mindset with a proven track record dealing with complex business scenarios. - Be a self-starter who thrives in a rapidly growing organization. Agility and ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and scope and priorities. - Great communication and interpersonal skills. - A data-driven decision-making approach with ability to deal with ambiguity in the absence of data. - A go-getter with an execution-oriented mindset who is excited about making a big impact. Understanding of the domain, i.e. operations design, logistics, supply chain, fleet management and mobility will be an added advantage. - MBA from one of the top B-schools (IIMs, ISB) or global-equivalent or professional experience with top tier management consultancy firm like McKinsey, BCG, Bain etc. is desired
