YourStory is seeking to onboard entrepreneurial folks who are excited about high ownership roles in a fast-paced environment. Senior Business Analyst Location - Indiranagar, Bangalore As a Senior Business Analyst, you would be the custodian for all things Data at YourStory. You would own the entire data journey from building data warehouses, ensuring data sanctity, building reporting systems, providing the right insights and last but not least, truly and deeply understanding the users (better suited for pre-MBA applicants) Responsibilities: 1. Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable goals and acting as the custodian for everything on data and insights for all products of YS 2. Ensuring data sanctity through instrumentation and monitoring data quality to meet the business needs of the company 3. Establishing the right systems and processes in place as foundations for non-product initiatives, and churning out business insights in a semi-automated way 4. Ability to build the right databases and data structure by closely working with the tech team to ensure all data is captured before product goes live 5. Ability to work on various analytical tools - Product Analytics (Google Suite, Amplitude, Firebase, AWS etc), Marketing Analytics (Supermetrics, etc) and Data Visualization tools (Data Studio, Tableau, Power BI etc) 6. Developing and monitoring KPIs for each vertical of the business and at an overall business level and constantly driving the company towards meeting the KPIs 7. Generating product and user insights and working closely with the Product and Tech team to make business decisions 8. Having a product and user out view towards problem-solving - Market and competitor research to understand the trends in product design, continuous A/B testing to grow the product KPIs, etc 9. Owning and improving the core metrics like DAU/MAU/Retention/Time spent per user 10. Interpersonal skills to work closely with various stakeholders who may have competing interests 11. Ability to build machine learning and text mining models by identifying the right variables for segmentation of users and driving desired behavior for the various clusters Here's what we are looking for: 1. Relevant work experience of 2-3 years or preferably someone with a BTech Degree from IIT/NIT/BITS 2. Strong communication/interpersonal skills 3. Proven analytical background 4. Advanced excel skills 5. Advanced SQL skills 6. Strong statistical foundations 7. Experience in Python programming 8. Experience of and building &amp; querying from data warehouses - Bigquery, Amplitude, AWS, etc 9. Ability to build structure and process out of chaos 10. Prior exposure to marketing analytics tools 11. Prior Entrepreneurial or Startup experience would be a huge advantage
