Disruptions on the back of digital evolution and revolution (penetration and most importantly adaptation) has become the new world order; leading to a dramatic shift in business landscape and people's lives at unimaginable speed across the globe. Technology is at the centre of this disruption.

Transport is necessity and Car rentals in India is unorganised and have multiple stakeholders across demand and supply. Demand segment stakeholders include Individuals, Corporate, Hotels, Events/Weddings/MICE, Airlines, Travel Companies, OTA- s, Large Car Rental Companies, Tour Operators, Travel Agents etc. Supply segment stakeholders include individual car owners, fleet owners, car operators, fleet aggregators etc.

The existing market is mirrored large fragmented supply base, large price discrepancies, manual operations leading to inefficiencies, paper trails, transparency etc. The emergence of new age ride hailing companies have created large anomalies for the supply segment I.e. over supply, under-utilisation, decreasing business/income, higher commission, dependence on few large players.

Lack of technology enablers are leading the demand segments away from traditional supply segment, despite quality issues and higher prices charged by the new age ride hailing companies.

Creation of a successful marketplace requires I.e. large market, large no. of buyers and sellers etc. Car rental segment despite qualifying the required criteria, lacks such a marketplace in India or outside.

Yellow Plate

Yellow Plate, an Initiative by Idea Cabs is a result of on-round execution and market understanding. Idea Cabs, in operation for over 18 months, is a leading fleet aggregator in Mumbai and has touched almost all stakeholders across demand and supply segments. It currently has annual revenue of around Rs. 6 crores.

Yellow Plate intends to disrupt this segment by building India's first marketplace for Yellow Plate vehicles starting with car rentals, followed by bus rentals segment.

Yellow Plate is an enabling platform. It individually enables and empowers all stakeholders while bringing them together via marketplace as part of an integrated, inter-connected ecosystem to automate and optimise their car rental/hire requirements or/and business.

Idea Cabs has already started Yellow Plate's tech development. Its current tech team includes few web and android developers, QA and design professionals.

Technology Co-Founder

Idea Transport World is inviting applications to induct a Tech Co-Founder, based out of Mumbai, having significant development experience across both backend and frontend. He/she will be responsible for products development across web and mobile, testing and implementation.

Required Skills: NoSQL (MongoDB), Restful Architectures, AWS, SAAS, Spring, Java, React, Redux.

Good-to-Have Attributes: Start-up experience, Android experience would be a plus.

What we are looking for: An entrepreneurial, thoughtful and positive mindset/approach to solving large problems, capable of building a robust, scalable tech platform adoptable to changing market conditions, willing to join a growing startup, a rational and no non-sense approach and practical thought process.

Place of work: Goregaon, Mumbai. Candidates from Mumbai or currently based out of Mumbai only shall be apply.

Position: Preferably Full Time. However, given bootstrapped compulsions, exceptional candidates who can devote at-least 4 hours every day and come to office at-least twice a week can also be considered.

Role and Compensation: The incoming person will be inducted in the Company as Co-founder and will be part of the leadership team. He/she will be given substantial equity stake in the Company. Equity shall be awarded basis 1) technical capabilities, 2) milestone/deliverables and 3) duration. He/she will also be entitled to a fixed salary (negotiable).

Founders: Idea Transport World is an initiative by experienced professionals turned entrepreneurs having built few of India's largest companies across multiple domains. This will be an opportunity to directly work with the founders.
