Yashi Consulting Services - Expert - Remote Sensing & GIS

Job Responsibilities:

- Develops project approaches that demonstrate and utilize advanced geo-processing, mapping and visualization, editing and data compilation, data management, linear referencing, network analysis, mobile GIS and modeling

- Analyze project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations and appropriate process for accomplishing projects

- Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks.

- Translates business requirements into functional specifications

- Responsible for documenting business processes and identifying effective solutions

- Prepares presentations and participates in project interviews

- Prepares hours estimation and cost to perform required services

- Prepares and maintains detailed project schedules

- Prepares progress reports on a daily, weekly or as per need basis

- Validates, updates and maintains all project documents

- Monitors and manages project performance, scope, quality risks and schedule for all assigned projects

- Sets and continuously manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholders

- Should be able to do quality and client management

- Should be able to maintain quality and suggest actions for quality improvement

Qualification/Skill and Experience:

Must Have

- M.Sc./M.Tech in Geo-informatics/Remote Sensing or Equivalent OR Post Graduate Degree in Geography/Geology or Equivalent with specialization in GIS

- Minimum 5-year work experience in the capacity of Project Manager in GIS implementation projects

Desired

- At least 5+ years direct work experience in project/ team lead capacity

- At least 3 years direct work experience as a project team member
