Xseed Partners - Senior Analyst - Investment Management - Private Equity & Venture Capital

We, at Silver Needle Ventures (SNV), are launching a category -1 AIF (Angel Fund). Silver Needle Venture is launched by team from Xseed Partners. We are looking for two Analyst who can specialize in sourcing & evaluation of Startups and build Sectoral landscape within Investment management Function for the AMC Entity

The fund would look to invest in Technology Startups in Enterprise B2B SaaS, Deep Tech (AI, AR, Blockchain, Web3, Robotics), Sectoral Enablers (Eg Agri, Retail, Health, Marketing, EV etc), Technology Ecosystem DevOps, Machine Vision, Neural Network, NLP, Automation) , Sustainability & Gaming / Gamification

Position

The Sr Analyst - Investment Management Position requires working closely with the AVP/VP Investment Management & General Partners in continuous deal flow and evaluation based on Fund Thesis.

Note : Mandatory to have 3+ years Experience in similar Role and very specific to Startups only

Progression

Position leads to Investment Management Lead Role in 3+ years

Key Responsibilities :

- Work with the Invest management team & General Partners to develop and implement strategies on Deal Pipeline, Evaluation.

- Operational Business Insight and evaluate Key metrics to support Evaluation Process

- Involve in Start-up Investment Life Cycle - Scouting, Pre-Investment - Due diligence, Deal structuring and Legal, Tracking Start-up Progress & Competitor Analysis

- Build an active Analyst network in PE and VC Industry network for a strong Pipeline and insights

- Process - Events & quarterly updates to publish Investor updates and key communications. Present findings from analysis to internal investment team

- Answer Queries on Investment evaluation and decision making process from LP's and IM Team

- Track key KPI / happenings and build a working relationship with involved Start-up Founders

- Prepare key updates to the investors on their portfolio and a newsletter

- Strong quantitative and analytical skills to evaluate new age Business and Tech centric Models

- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, generate insights and help investment decisions

- Ability to communicate crisply and distill information

- Strong attention to detail and information presentation skills required

Qualifications :

- 4+ years of work experience in Startup Ecosystem in areas of Key responsibility is MANDATORY

- Tier I / II institutes in Engineering or Finance are a Bonus

Compensation and Benefits

We would like someone committed to grow with the fund. Be an integral part of IM team to Establish SNV as key Startup VC and support new Fund launch in 2-3 Years. The compensation would be a combination of fixed salary & variable pay including a percentage of the hurdle/carry
