Role : Senior Manager (Director) - IT Infrastructure and Security  Experience : 10+  Responsibilities :  Strategy & Planning :  - Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management  - Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs  Acquisition & Deployment :  - Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.   - Purchase efficient and cost effective technological equipment and software  Operational Management :  - Oversee all technology infrastructure operations (e.g. network security) and evaluate them according to established goals  - Inspect the use of technological equipment and infrastructure software to ensure functionality and efficiency  - Identify security vulnerabilities and eliminate them with strategic solutions that increase data safety  - Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to upper management  - Control budget and report on expenditure  - Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in systems across the organization.  - Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.  - Provide orientation and training to L1 IT agents for all modified and new systems.  - Negotiating with suppliers of hardware and system software to get the best deal, including external support, and being responsible for contracting consultants and making service agreements.  - Keeping up-to-date with the most recent technologies and advising on what new technological solutions and their implementation will meet business and systems requirements.  - Ensuring written documentation is created and maintained, to include user and system manuals, licence agreements and all documentation relating to modifications and upgrades.  Position Requirements for the Role :  - Proven experience as IT director or similar role  - Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications  - Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc.  - Experience in controlling information technology budget  - Excellent organizational and leadership skills  - Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of IT infrastructure.  - Demonstrated project management skills.  - Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.  - Excellent written and oral communication skills.  - Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.  - Keen attention to detail.  - Ability to conduct research into issues and products as required.  - Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.  - Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.  - Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.   - Self-driven and motivated able to work with minimal supervision
