Responsibilities Include: - Primary responsibility includes development of a forecasting model for accurately predicting inventory requirement for different channels at different locations for all the product categories. - Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand Split planning function. - Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results. - Track plan vs actuals and incorporate learnings for further refining the prediction model - Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances, refine the forecast model to reflect updated assumptions, and reduce forecast model variance. - Interact with the various stakeholders to understand demand forecast drivers. - Utilize a collaborative approach to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts. - Inventory replenishment model for channel WH level accurate inventory placement A Successful Candidate Will Embody The Following: - Excellent Analytical abilities with in depth knowledge of Forecasting, Inventory placement and Supply chain distribution - Communicate ideas concisely to a wide variety of stakeholders for purposes ranging from informative to need for financial approvals from executives. - Willing to - get your hands dirty- while simultaneously developing processes, automation, and delivering results - Clearly define data requirements and metrics, working with teams to implement the entire data flow from capture to presentation and management - High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously Basic Qualifications: - Degree in statistics, engineering, mathematics, or economics from an accredited university with 2+ years of experience in Analytical role (demand forecasting, inventory planning etc.) - Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis - Advanced knowledge of Excel is required along with good grasp over macros/ VBA. - Advanced knowledge of R required - Visualization tool like Power BI - Capacity planning & forecasting experience as well as experience with working cross functionally with business intelligence and analytics teams Preferred Qualifications: - Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Consulting experience and working at client location under project deadlines is an added advantage - Experience with making large scale optimization and predictive models - 3 - 5 years of work experience - Excellent written and verbal communication skills complemented with the ability to problem solve independently
