Job summary :

- The Associate Director will be responsible for ensuring all regulatory compliances from Direct, Indirect tax and Companies Act perspective. He / She is accountable for the Vision, Strategy and Management for a strong financially compliant organization.

- A highly accomplished result driven Chartered Accountant with more than 15 years of experience in finance with a strong aptitude in developing and implementing financial controls and processes. Possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills to handle large teams and co-ordination across various inter departments. Will be responsible for leading the Finance function for the Shared Services Centre whilst strategically managing functions including accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, MIS, taxation, AP and AR. Liaise and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and facilitate the implementation of global systems and policies.

The Role :

- Lead the India Finance and tax team to ensure the compliances for direct and indirect taxes such as Review the Income tax returns, transfer pricing documentation, withholding tax compliances, regulatory filings, GST returns etc. are in line with the regulatory guidelines

- Directing the preparation of accounts, financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports as per local regulations and US GAAP for global reporting.

- Liaison with Statutory Auditors for reviewing financials as per statutory guidelines issued from time to time

- Build, Review and enhance Internal control procedures within the Finance team to mitigate risks in financial reporting both internal / external.

- Work closely with Business leaders and Operations teams to build Financial acumen and business partnership to drive growth and deep understanding of P&Ls

- Review tax provision working, tax audit report, deferred tax workings, etc

- Assessing efficacy of the tax processes/ controls and formulating standard practices for various tax and compliance functions

- Review documentation and submissions for various levels of Assessment and litigation proceedings for Income tax, GST and Service tax matters

- Work closely with Tax partners on assessment proceedings, follow-ups on pending matters and bring in to conclusion the open matters in a timely manner.

- Review the registrations under the various tax schemes and restructure based on the changes in the tax laws.

- Critical link between business representatives, subject-matter experts, business analysts, scrum team and Tax partners to ensure that the Service offerings are in line with the Transfer pricing documentation.

- Review and build a Data depository of all compliances on real time basis.

The Experience and Skills

- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 15+ years of professional experience in Finance, Direct and Indirect taxes

- Strong collaboration and team building skills

- Ability to work under pressure to tight timelines and without direct supervision

- Organised and methodical

- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills

- Strong communication and collaboration skills

- Experience with International and Virtual teams
